Making Green juice is a great way to get your daily dose of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Howdini shares a simple recipe that can be made at home in your blender!

Transcript Juicing is a great way to get in lots of fruits and veggies and better yet, it tastes good too! Green juice is a perfect start to the day, with hydrating, low-glycemic, vitamin-packed ingredients. Combine ingredients in your blender. Start with enough water to cover the blade and get things juicing. Add the romaine and cucumber first, followed by lemon, celery... and green apple for a little sweetness, vitamin c and anti-inflammatory benefits. Kale and parsley are nutrient powerhouses, full of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. And by juicing them, your body can better absorb them. Blend on high speed. Juicers do work best, but if you own a blender this is a great way to get started. Stick with it and remember to stop and tamp down ingredients to keep everything in the mix. Strain juice into an empty container using a nut milk bag or cheesecloth. Juice made with a blender will be less pulverized so will have a thinner consistency when strained, but rest assured your juice will still be nutritious… and delicious! Pour and enjoy as is, or add ice for extra refreshment.
