How to pick up broken glass safely

When a glass breaks it is always a pain to clean up the broken pieces of glass. You never know if you get it all up and there is always the possibility of cutting yourself. Here is a safe and easy way to pick up glass with a piece of bread.

    • Take a fresh piece of bread. (This is important. The bread needs to be fresh.)
    • Place the bread over the slivers of broken glass.
    • Press down all over the bread on top of the glass.
    • Then pick up the bread and the glass will have stuck to it.

    - You may want to wear gloves.
    - Be sure to throw the bread away and do not leave it on the counter. This way no one will mistake it for an edible piece of bread.

How to pick up broken glass safely

Hi, I'm Julie Edelman, The Accidental Housewife, here on howdini.com. I today I truly have a tip that this great when you do have an accident. It's if you break a glass, a bottle, any of those things, you don't want to be touching that with your hands. You place it over those little slivers and you press down all over it, mmm, squishy. All right, then you pick it up and look, I love it when [? a knack ?] comes together! By the way, tip, do not leave this piece of bread on the counter because either your little one, big one, or your pooch might just mistake it for a piece of fresh bread, and that would be terribly accidental. I'm Julie Edelman, The Accidental Housewife, here on howdini.com.
