    How to incorporate healthy fats into your diet

    • Omega 3 fats from fish are good fats.
    • Fats in olive oil, nuts and seeds are extremely healthy and reduce chances of heart disease.
    • Stay away from saturated fats and trans fats in meats and cheeses.
    • Choose low fat or non-fat dairy products.
    • Keep the total amount of trans fats and saturated fats to less than 10% of total calories.
    • Eat two to three servings of fish every week for Omega 3 and DHA servings.
    • If you can’t eat fish two to three times a week look for foods that are fortified with algae-based DHA.
    • Too much fish oil can cause your blood to thin.
    • Too much fat from olive oil and nuts will cause an increase in calories.
