    1. Break two eggs into a mixing bowl.
    2. Add some water, approx 1⁄4 cup, or as preferred.
    3. Beat the eggs and water together until mixed well.
    4. Melt butter in frying pan — just enough to coat the bottom of the pan.
    5. Pour in the eggs/water mixture.
    6. Allow the eggs to begin to cook, then gently begin to scramble, folding eggs in, allowing more egg to cook, continue scrambling until eggs are fully cooked.
    • By using water instead of milk, you will prevent eggs from browning on the bottom.
    • If desired, add your favorite shredded cheese, plus salt and pepper, of course. Garnish with parsley.

    How to make scrambled eggs

Hello, this is chef Justin with howdini.com. Today we’re going to do a very simple breakfast that everybody out there is familiar with, scrambled eggs. So, of course we have eggs, we have butter, but ask yourself something, do you use milk or water to mix with your eggs? Milk right, wrong answer. You use water the eggs get a lot more fluffy, and they don’t brown on the bottom. So of course we have water this time instead of milk.

So we are going to start by cracking two eggs into a mixing bowl, just like this. There’s one, there’s two. We’re going to add in just a little bit of water here, you can just eyeball it however you like. We’re going to beat these together with a fork. Really simple wrist motion like this, splash a little bit out its ok, its more fun that way right. Okay, got our eggs mixed up.

So now we’re going to take the butter just like this and put this in the bottom of the pan to melt. And it’s going to melt down really quick now. So we’re just going to give this a quick shake and cover the bottom of the pan with butter. And of course from here and in goes the egg like this.

Now you can see here since we have a really hot pan these eggs are going to cook lightning fast. So we’re going to get the edges moving to make sure they don’t burn. We’re going to mix this around a little bit, and you can see the eggs are already coming together here in scramble form. We’re going to keep moving this around a little bit and the different edges are going to continue to cook and keep themselves together. Give it a really nice, you can see by using the water how dense and how really nicely they are coming together. And of course the water will present them from browning as they usually would when using milk. So yeah, we’re just rustling these together, just kind of keeping it moving just like this.

And once the majority of the eggs are done on the sides, and they’re starting to become one piece like this you can start folding them over so the undersides can get done. Then of course if you want it whole, or diced up, you can jus cut them apart like this. Of course your still continuing to move these around just like this. Making sure that the inside always these covered up eggs here are always done because you never want to hear yourself eat a raw egg. Very bad for you, just doesn’t taste good either.

Now these are looking just about done, so right now we’re going to pull these off the heat, just like this. And we’re going to throw these onto a plate right over here. Just like that. Now you got the eggs on the plate you can do simply just your favorite kind of cheese. Right now I have Romano cheese. I’m going to sprinkle it right over the top here like this. Also if you want to garnish with a little bit of parsley on the top, salt and pepper of course, and for some reason some people like mayple syrup on top. I have no idea why. But just like this you have a very simple, classic American scrambled eggs dish for breakfast.
