    Why buy a LED TV

With new high-definition TVs coming out all the time, how do you keep up with the latest features and coolest technology? Hi, there. I'm Veronica Belmont, and if you're in the market for an advanced, smart, LED television, I'm here to show you exactly what to look for.

I'm not talking about connecting your TV to your cable or satellite service. These days, the latest LED smart TVs give you access to an endless amount of entertainment options to choose from via the internet. Some newer smart TVs, like this one, come with built-in wifi, so you can enjoy instant access to tons of online entertainment. Look at this. At the touch of a button, you get access to thousands of hit movies, TV shows, music choices, online videos, and games.

Are you a Netflix or Crackle user? Get instant access to their entire streaming catalog. Need to catch up on your favorite shows? Stream TV episodes using your Hulu Plus subscription. Enjoy endless amounts of video and music content from your favorite sites, such as Netflix, YouTube, Pandora. Simply scroll through the easy-to-navigate on-screen interface to search while you watch. Plus, with automatic app updates delivered right your TV, there is a world of online entertainment options at your fingertips. You can even access news, sports, weather updates, play games, check your Facebook and Twitter accounts, all while you watch TV, with internet apps that are automatically delivered to your smart TV.

With an internet-connected TV and DLNA technology, you can also share your personal photos and videos on the big screen, using your home network. You no longer need to huddle around a tiny laptop screen to share the family vacation photos.

Now, the second thing to focus on is picture quality. Obvious, right? Well, not so fast. Beyond the eyeball test of just looking at the screen, there are a few technologies you'll want to look out for. Picture quality starts with the video processor engine, which takes a digital signal and processes it for display on the screen. How the video processor engine does this varies from model to model and brand to brand. The video processor technology in this TV here is especially helpful when it comes to streaming web videos. Videos played on your laptop may look great at that small size. However, once blown up to be viewed on the big screen, they can become unwatchable. The X-Reality Pro engine in this TV analyzes each scene pixel by pixel, and improves the picture quality of the low-res web content.

As you can see, the latest smart TVs are packed with incredible, innovative features to choose from, and it doesn't end with the technology. HDTVs like this one feature Corning Gorilla Glass for strength and durability, as well as a sleek and slim frameless design that will make your smart TV the centerpiece of any room.

OK, so that's it. Pretty impressive, don't you think? It's why LED smart TVs are so popular these days. Their impressive array of features and technologies add up to the best picture, entertainment options and design you can find. I'm Veronica Belmont for Sony, with Howdini.
