How to customize your iPod Touch & iPhone 4 case with rhinestones

Hi, I'm Jessica Harlow. If you're anything like me, you probably take your phone with you everywhere you go. Today I'm going to show you how to personalize your phone with a rhinestone theme.

The easiest way to do this is to purchase a pre-made case. Keep in mind, prices vary depending on whether you want real crystals or look-alike. For something a little bit more special, you can find a cover with your name or initials on it. Just find your favorite, and then just snap it on.

A less expensive way to personalize is to do it yourself. Start with a clear, hard plastic or flexible Jelly case, packages of your favorite colored rhinestones, and some Super Glue. This is where you can unleash your creativity and have a lot of fun.

First, create an outline of your phone on a piece of paper. Feel free to experiment with different designs. You can even use colored pencils to indicate the different jewel colors. Once you're happy with your design, you can cut it out and stick it into your case. This is going to act as a bit of a guide. Then you would pick up each rhinestone, with my tweezers just to make sure that the glue doesn't get on my fingers. Add a little dot of glue. Then I'm just going to pick up my case, place it right there.

Here are some cases that I've already finished. You can also use a sparkly nail polish to fill in any gaps between the jewels or wherever you want a little bit of extra shine. For a really seamless and professional look, you want to add crystals all the way along the edges.

If you're not sure where to start with your design, you could try a peel and stick rhinestone pattern that you can find at your local craft store. It's really easy. You just peel it off and stick it on to the case. But you might want to use a little bit of Super Glue just to make sure that they really stay on there.

Finish off your personalization with a quality pair of earbuds like these. I like these because they sound just as good as they look. Then for a special touch, you could put a little rhinestone in the bud like this.

Now that's glamour and great sound. Enjoy your music.
