    How to make bunny cakes

Prepare the bunny cake shapes and frosting

    • In a medium bowl, tint 1 container of frosting with neon purple food coloring.
    • In a medium bowl, tint 1 container of frosting with neon pink food coloring.
    • Cut each cake in half and place half circles on serving plate side-by-side, cut side down, flat back to flat back.  Spread frosting between the layers, to adhere the halves to each other.

    Decorating the bunny cakes

    • Frost each bunny cake with remaining colored frostings. Use offset spatula or the back of a spoon to make swirls in the frosting to give the cake a fluffy look.
    • Cut construction paper ears and insert into cake.
    • For the eyes, cut a mini marshmallow in half and press on flat surface to flatten. Place flattened mini marshmallow halves on the cake. Cut a jelly bean in half and adhere to the middle of the marshmallow halves with a dab of frosting.  Use a jelly bean for nose and licorice strips for whiskers.  For the mouth, use a jelly bean or two gum pieces to create a fun, goofy buck-toothed rabbit. Add large marshmallow for the tail.

These bunny cakes serve 16. Visit BettyCrocker.com for a template of the bunny cakes.
